11 Dec Fix the Fixing Launch Event in Greece – Scientific Workshop to prevent Manipulation in Sports
11/12/2017. The General Secretariat of Sports in collaboration with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki organized a scientific conference to prevent manipulation in sports “Fix the Fixing”, in the Auditorium “Galatea Sarantis “of the Ministry of Culture.
The scientific workshop addressed the Culture and Sport Minister Giorgos Vasiliadis, the General Secretary of Sports Ioulios Synadinos and Assistant Professor PESS AUTH and coordinator of the program “Fix the Fixing” Dr. Vasilios Barkoukis, who developed the educational actions to prevent match manipulation.
Speakers were also the Secretary-General of the KEA Nikolaos Konstantinos Theodorou, Special Associate of the General Secretary of Sports Georgios Kaloudis and Vice-President of the PSAP Georgios Georgiou.
The workshop was completed with an open discussion between speakers and guests.
